LOVEJORDAN STUDIO VISIT

Mostly known for their luminous paint bottle works and their calming paper libraries, LoveJordan are prolific in their unique creative output. Whilst these styles are often the most likely you may see at an art fair, the duo have many more concepts in their arsenal of ideas...

The LoveJordan studio is a chaotic labyrinth of works in progress, and a myriad of tried and tested concepts. Often an impulsive eureka experiment idles in the corner, as well as a few discarded exercises, maybe they will come back to that some day...

The words "studio visit" generally put fear into the mind of any artist, mostly due to the fact that the chaotic order in which they often work will need to be realigned and organised - even the most open-minded and creative visitor may struggle to see past the ongoing creative process. Entering LoveJordan's studio is like stepping into an Aladdins cave of art, you will most certainly come across treasure as you root through the frames and rolls of paper. We have attempted to do the job for you.

The following works are all framed and available, some of these pieces are a labour of love. IMPACT for example is an abstract arrangement of 10000's of dressmaking pins which have been painstakingly embedded into the backboard with a toffee-hammer over a period of months. A work such as this would be an ongoing piece, worked on as-and-when in the studio, around other activities and obligations.

Then there is SPLIT, a pen and ink drawing which was created in 2020 during lockdown - at a time when artists studios were closed and materials (especially tiny medical vials - such as used in the bottle pieces) were scarce and hard to source. This period demanded a re-think, and as creative artists LoveJordan needed to find alternate ways to express themselves. A large piece of paper and a few ink pens soon had them on their way.
