LOVEJORDAN: THE TOY SERIES
EXHIBITION DATES: 12-25 APRIL 2022
For the third in our series of focused exhibitions for Spring 2022 we are excited to present a new collection of works by LoveJordan.
Focusing purely on the toy series, this set of works brings curiosity and colour to the gallery walls. These artworks certainly draw a crowd, when we exhibit work in this style at art fairs there is often a queue of visitors angling for a view of the work.
As expected from LoveJordan these works are ultimately playful, we have princesses, trolls, smurfs, and every other character imaginable all crowd together for a toy party, a paintball extravaganza, or to revel in the conga to beat all conga's. Each repurposed character has been carfully disected and polished before they are arranged in the frame to create these party scenes.

TOY PARTY
A crazy giant conga featuring all manner of toys, abundant with party spirit, party drinks, and many wearing their party hats. We get the feeling that Egon Spengler (from Ghostbusters, middle right of the piece) may have had a bit too much

This piece, entitled 'We are on our Way', is inspired by classic computer games such as Kong and Mario.Toy’s from all walks of life are on the way to save the caged Princess from her Capture (Bowzer from Mario)Leaping out the fire, avoiding the barrels, the ladders help the figures to the next stage.

REVOLTING ANIMALS
Inspired by George Orwell's 'Animal Farm', here the humans are surrounded by the animals who are chanting and holding banners that read: ‘Four Legs Good, Two Legs bad!’
All of the animals have become united, whatever their size or strength. We see the little fluffy chicks and the two headed wolf seemingly on the same side, and the scattered posters show that support for Napoleon-The-Berkshire-boar is strong.
