MIAMI BASEL ART WEEK 2020 AT WOOLFF GALLERY
Monday 30th November - Sunday 6th December 2020
For the past 12 years Woolff Gallery has taken part in Miami Basel Art week, presenting works of the upmost quality at some of the most prestigious art fairs. This year we are presenting our booth from our gallery in London. On the plus side, this is an excellent opportunity for those based in London to view an exciting set of works which under normal circumstances, would be shown in Miami.

Baby Bear is the latest addition to Purdy's Eight Feet series. About this photograph, Graeme Purdy wrote:
"On location in remote Alaska. Camping inside our electric fence, living with the bears.
It took a few long days on the river watching the bears to start to understand their behaviour and the real hotspots.
We then focused on an area the bears lived to fish for salmon. Set up some cameras and waited for the moment to fire the shutter. The slightest camera sound was enough to get the bears attention so timing was key. This was a bear we grew to love, an 18 month old bear who hadn’t a care in the world as mummy bear was there to show him the ropes".

Onyx is obsessed with creating sculptures from tiny fragments of our past. The Bionics Shark piece was inspired by a selection of objects that he had found washed up on a beach in Bournemouth, this sparked his imagination and gave the idea to create this Damien Hirst inspired artwork.
This is the 2nd work in a series of 5, this is a truly remarkable artwork.
