RAIDER
Born in 2002, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
RAIDER represents a new generation of contemporary artists. With a strong passion for art, his distinctive sculptures have gained attention from gallery owners and art collectors worldwide. First known for his creation of 'Scoop,' an endearing and curious alien from another world which encounters humans for the first time and reflects our habits and quirks back to us, his work has since expanded into a broader artistic universe, incorporating new forms and concepts. His experiments with a wide range of contemporary materials and techniques, combining traditional craftsmanship with innovative approaches, continue to evolve.
The work of RAIDER has a distinct and recognizable signature. It is fresh, pure, and rich in color. His creations blend sculptural form with storytelling, each piece carrying its own presence and meaning. While Scoop introduced his fascination with organic shapes, Raider is constantly drawing inspiration from film, animation, music, and travel, to explore new narratives, materials, and techniques, pushing the boundaries between art and imagination.
RAIDER currently lives and works in Amsterdam. His autonomous work has been presented at leading art fairs, including Art Miami, Art Karlsruhe, KunstRAI, and Art Central in Hong Kong. Following international showcases, his work has been exhibited in renowned galleries across Europe. RAIDER collaborates with various galleries worldwide, expanding his presence in both contemporary and collectible art spaces.
CECI N'EST PAS UNE PRALINE
Inspired by Magritte’s exploration of perception, this artwork plays with reality and invites a closer look. Each piece is individually hand-finished, making every praline completely unique in shape and texture. With handcrafted three dimensional elements, it blurs the line between illusion and reality and gives the artwork an entirely new dimension - every praline is its own creation, with a 3D bow tie and button to match.
