ONYX AT SILVERSTONE
Eight months ago I made a promise: I'd create a BIONICS Formula One car - and it would be ready in time for the next Grand Prix at Silverstone. At the time, it didn't exist. Not even as a sketch. Just a quiet confidence in the idea, and a belief that I could build something bold enough to stand among racing legends.
Through conversations between Woolff Gallery, Escapade, and Silverstone, that idea slowly gained momentum. What followed was months of preparation and collecting - and then, three to four months of full commitment. I built this piece by hand, layer by layer, with no blueprint, just instinct.
Toy parts, tubing, wires, and raw material came together to form something alive. One half pays homage to the original Ferrari F1 car from 2002/03. The other breaks open - a mechanical metamorphosis, a sculpture that speaks of transformation, evolution, and what lies beneath the surface.
Today, on the very weekend of the British Grand Prix, it stands at Silverstone's heliport - a full-scale BIONICS F1 sculpture, finished in chrome gold. From concept to reality. From silence to speed.
And without a doubt, this is the proudest moment of my career so far. ONYX

In honour of 75 years of racing history at Silverstone, the BIONICS F1 Masterpiece arrives at a bold fusion of past, present, and the future. One half of the sculpture remains faithful to Ferrari's iconic 2002/3 model - the legendary machine that carried Michael Schumacher to one of the most memorable championship wins in history. The other half reveals what lies beneath. As if caught mid-transformation, the car opens up into a complex internal structure of mechanical intricacies and toy components. This is built entirely from found objects, painstakingly assembled by hand over the course of many weeks.

Unlike a traditional bull, the BIONICS Bull isn't bound by muscle or flesh. It's composed entirely of artificial anatomy: wires for veins, gears for joints, cables for ligaments. In a nod to New York's bronze charging bull, and it's declaration of power, it now resides in the home of British motorsport, where it becomes both guardian and challenger for mechanical prowess.
