Another year, another cohort of young and talented graduates form across the UK. Last Thursday marked the opening of the third Graduate Art Show at Woolff, an event we always look forward to. 35 graduates were selected from a unique and diverse pool of hundreds of submissions (we are the only national graduate art show in London), with a winner awarded a cash prize by a panel of judges at private view.

We learn a lot from this show. We've always loved meeting the students and seeing what they come up with. It's a great chance to work with them, to try to help guide them within the art market, and hopefully to sell their work!

We cannot stress how inspiring it is to see the breadth of media on display each year, matched by, yet again, exceptional levels of skill. Highlights from this year include: our first ever video piece, digital illustrations, a textile tapestry and a bio sculpture! Scroll down for a selection of works on show, as well as images from the private view:
Jessica Babbini-Baker, Exmouth Cliffs, mixed natural fibres, Winchester School of Art | Fine Art
Last but not least, we'd like to present our 2024 GAS winner, Joanna Cohn, next to her incredible seed heads:
Joanna Cohn, All that I am, wheat seed, root and coconut coir, Royal College of Art | MA Print
"This is a sculpture, a self portrait of my head, made entirely of wheat. When it is dried, the roots and seeds are lightweight and stable. I grew the wheat seeds without the use of soil, in the form of my likeness to represent my belief that as human beings we are a part of the world, and not separate from it."
Joanna Cohn
Congratulations to all who took part, we were all really impressed by the level of artwork submitted, and can't wait to see what everyone does next! Don't miss your chance to catch the next generation of artists. The show runs until the 3rd December.
