Woolff Gallery is proud to present a bright, bold, and joyful exhibition showcasing artwork from 15 artists, some of whom are brand new to the gallery. We are hugely excited to have an example of one of The McGuires latest in-house projects: 'The Holographic Jukebox'. This is an accomplished piece where tiny figures come to life inside the brightly-lit, oversized musical box. The duo achieved this piece through collaborations with musicians and performers, Arts Council funding, a bold creative curiosity, and their thorough understanding of technology and its potential within the realm of 'art'.
We also welcome Josh Gluckstein to the Woolff gallery. Josh presents joyful and tactful life-sized animals and animal heads which are made from recycled materials, fabrics and card. Gluckstein's love of the natural world is clear in his work, he is enormously passionate about the environment and the animal's habitat, and is driven to raising awareness regarding the threat to the natural world, all communicated through his beautiful works.
Also new to the Woolff gallery is the renowned embroidery artist Karen Nicol who creates stunning and delicate embroidered artworks which are framed and presented on the wall. Karen has worked with some of the best known fashion designers, retailers and textile artists that the world has to offer, her CV is extensive and exhibits her breadth of involvement in the fashion and art world. The Woolff Gallery is delighted to have access to some of her map works, and New York pieces, as well as some of her stunning animal artworks.
Our final addition to the gallery this Autumn is Daniel Hughes (aka man on a bike). Hughes is a Sony photographic ambassador and is on a mission to capture some of the world’s greatest landscapes, all from his bicycle. Carrying two cameras, a drone, a tripod and the rest of his equipment he says, “My mission is simple. To share these epically beautiful places and I hope that anyone would enjoy their majesty”. Hughes' work can be seen on some of the worlds biggest digital and print platforms he also works with outdoor brands such as Arcteryx, Shimano and Strava.
And we welcome back Finn Stone, who's tongue-in-cheek sculptures stand alongside his recreated old masters (made from discarded artist materials), and of course a great selection of artworks from our gallery regulars such as LoveJordan, Joanne Tinker, ONYX, Carol Peace, Susila Bailey-Bond, Graeme Purdy, and Patrick Boyd. We are delighted to be able to open the doors again, we hope that you can visit us and see the wonderful selection of artworks that we now have available in the gallery.
